Waltons is the nation's longest-running garden building retailer. We've been designing and manufacturing affordable and great quality sheds, log cabins, summerhouses and playhouses since our brand was established in 1878.
0 Stars.Bought a shed and feel extremely ripped off.Where do I start? The Floor, which we paid extra to be “reinforced”, cracks as soon as you step on it so we had to purchase a new floor to go on top, just so we could even walk on it. Obviously we were not happy but preserved with the build as we’d already painted all the panels prior to assembly. The slats in the panels hardly overlap at all, some you can see daylight through so not water tight. Got the shed built which took 2 days and then the first sign of rain, the shed is wet in all the inside. Like its soaking up water. We paid extra for the shed to be pressure treated but clearly it was not done. The doors just about open, but then will not close due to being so swollen with water. We contacted them and sent pictures but they claim that we have built it too close to a hedge which we have not. There is a gap down the side that we can walk down and it meets the required measurement gap stated. Even if it was close to a hedge, it doesn’t explain the weak floor or why the shed is soaking up water on every panel and the doors swell up. We cannot get anywhere with them as all they repeat is the “gap” which if they came and measured, they would see it was big enough and now there is no hedge even there as it has died off for winter so is bare. It’s so frustrating that they don’t listen and are so unhelpful. They are clearly very used to dealing with complaints as they just repeat the same thing like a robot and there’s absolutely no compassion or even trying to help resolve or fix the issues. They have happily taken our money and the shed isn’t even fit for purpose. We have given up our storage unit which we had our belongings in and now we are going to have to somehow replace this shed right before Christmas to keep our belongings dry. So I hope you are happy with yourselves- you’ve ripped off a young family with small children who now instead of focusing on buying for our children at Christmas, we are being forced to replace your useless shed. Absolutely devastated so please don’t make the same mistake that we did by using this awful company. We are now going through trading standards and whatever means possible to recover some of the money they stolen from us by selling us a pile of wet soggy wood.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The term you get what you pay for should be this company’s slogan. We brought a 12 x 8 pressure treated shed with a reinforced floor, started the build with the floor, once the floor was together I took 1 step onto it and it cracked and split. luckily the shed was delivered before I was planning on building it and I noticed it was cheap thin chipboard so I had already ordered 18mm plywood to go on top of their supplied cheap flooring. The shed itself is very thin slates of wood with gaps all over the place where they haven’t overlapped them properly. Got the shed completely built and added a water repellent paint. The 1st sign of rain was a nightmare the shed had absorbed water so the doors had swollen and I couldn’t open them unless I used a pry bar, got them open then they obviously wouldn’t shut and I had already used all the adjustment moving the hinges all the way out. Not only that but every panel in the shed was soaking wet. There is not a chance this company actually pressure treats their sheds, otherwise this wouldn’t have happened. Get in contact with them and they ask for pictures of around the shed, admittedly 1 side of the shed was about 300mm away from the neighbours over grown trees and the other 3 sides have well over 600mm. So I get in contact with the team leader and manager and they won’t listen to anything I have to say but they constantly go on about the 600mm gap, so I go out there cut the branches back so I now have over 600mm on every side and still the company isn’t interested in doing anything to help. Because they know their products are not fit for the job. Customer services skills are nonexistent. Got my money and keeps closing complaint tickets. So phone calls to trading standards and now have to wait 12 weeks.AVOID AVOID AVOIDWhat a surprise with their review still banging on about the 600mm gap, avoiding the issue with the doors, floor & the fact every panel soaks up water. Pathetic. I’m not sure you have a customer service team, and you have not offered a resolution either. but just to make you aware just in case you don’t know trees do unfortunately grow which will change the surrounding gap, I’m not gonna take a tape measure outside and measure daily just in case 1 twig goes within 600mm. Same person writes back to these reviews as who rights back in the complaints. Not gonna get anywhere!
Went above and beyond brought my shed down my long path directly to me very kind and polite chap
Do not buy from this company!!!!! 😡😡We bought a summer house and shed/ greenhouse in July of this year. We asked the company what to treat the buildings with and we used what they advised. After 3 half months both buildings have gone black and look like they are 10 years old. The quality of the wood is not good. The doors on both building have swelled so badly. The green house leaks even though we sealed it over and over again. I spoken to them sent pictures and emails but Lucy the team leader is so rude on the phone. She told me we needed to put a water proof solution on over the preservative but the one we used was expensive and it states on the Tin that it is water proof and you don’t need to put anything on top of it. We put three coats of it on and the black is still coming through. I am dealing with trading standards and a solicitor as Walton’s are not interested as Lucy stated to me that on the instructions it says we have to apply a water proof top coat when it doesn’t state that at all on the instructions. Do not waste your money on this company they are not genuine really do not care about the custoners once they have been paid. Thank you for your response! Your the only company who wants you to put water proof preserver on the buildings which we applied it three times. We spoke to the people who make the product and they told us what you are saying is we needed to put another water proof protector on top of the water proof preserver which they supplied us with. They told us we didn’t have to put what your saying on top as the stuff we used is water proof but your wood you supplied us with is very poor and this is why it’s black and looking ten years old. I wish I could upload the images for everyone to see how bad it is after only 3 months. Don’t be fooled by this company spending £1000’s on buildings that are not fit for purpose. Everyone can clearly see by the reviews that your fobbing people off knowing it’s not right that wood is no good.
