My bag wheel was snapped off and my bag was damaged and it was delayed for 38 hours and the Turkish airlines customer service in Istanbul were very rude and not helpful. I complained to them and they assessed my complaint with £38 which I rejected it so they cancelled the offer and closed my case and didn't answer my query about the process of escalating my complaint to their regulator.

My experience with Turkish Airlines on the flight from Kigali to Istanbul on April 16th was nothing short of a nightmare. The airline demonstrated complete incompetence, total disregard for passengers, and a shocking lack of basic customer service. First and foremost, the flight was canceled without any prior warning or explanation, leaving all of us stranded at Entebbe Airport for hours. During this time, we received no food vouchers, no water, and no assistance from the staff. The staff in Entebbe were utterly horrible—completely unhelpful, unable to provide any information, and indifferent to our plight. We were left to fend for ourselves in a stressful situation with no support whatsoever. Eventually, we were taken to a hotel that was absolutely terrible. We were only given a small bottle of water; everything else we had to pay for ourselves. The conditions were unacceptable, especially considering we had just experienced a major disruption caused by the airline. To make matters worse, the airline staff messed up our entry into Uganda, which caused us serious trouble when trying to leave again. We were effectively considered illegal in Uganda due to their mishandling, adding unnecessary stress and complications to an already disastrous situation. Due to work related reasons I have to fly from Rwanda to Europe frequently. Not once on this flight was TK able to provide the pre-ordered meal. Additionally, it felt as though Turkish Airlines shows a blatant disregard for flights to the African continent. The level of neglect and poor service we experienced suggests an underlying attitude of indifference or even racism, as if they simply do not care about passengers traveling to or from Africa. This perception was reinforced by their lack of support, communication, and basic human decency during our ordeal. This entire experience has been utterly unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone against flying with Turkish Airlines in the future. Their lack of professionalism, poor communication, failure to support passengers during emergencies, and blatant neglect make them one of the worst airlines I’ve ever encountered. Save yourself the trouble—avoid this airline at all costs.
