Misleading “In stock” information and poor transparency I recently ordered a Yamaha MODX M7 from Star’s Music because the product page clearly showed the item as “In stock”. This was the only reason I chose them over other retailers who were honest about longer delivery times. Immediately after paying, my account page showed the order status as “Processing – Stock not available”. Shortly after, I received an email saying that the keyboard is not actually in their stock, but a Yamaha “licensed product” that has to be ordered from Yamaha with an estimated delay of 15–30 days plus shipping. In other words, the website said in stock, but their internal system and follow-up email admitted that the product was not available at all. This feels misleading and far from transparent, especially for such an expensive item. I requested cancellation and a full refund. After a follow-up email (with screenshots), customer service eventually cancelled the order and refunded me via PayPal. The agents were polite and the refund was processed, but only after I had to chase them and insist – and there was no apology at any point for the incorrect stock information or the inconvenience caused. Overall, I’m very disappointed with the way stock availability is presented on their website. I would advise future customers to double-check with customer service before ordering anything marked as “in stock”, especially high-value items.

That was all right. A bit slow maybe, but it was a collector's piece, a white Hello Kitty Fender Squire guitar. Needed more time to achieve and post it. Ware is fine, everything works. Recommended.
