Ordered 2 mock orange plants. When the plants arived they were danmaged. Planted May first, plants barly alive oct 2nd. Same issue with other plants ordered at the same time. Company shows a Total lack of plant care and customer support. Sold thru Home depot on line.
First, let me state that the plants appear to be well grown. They were rooted cuttings, basically, and were not heat forced. The larger plants were in different boxes, and were packed better and took no damage. That said, the smaller plants were in four inch plastic pots, and the packing was so poor that half the pots were broken. They looked like they had just been thrown into the box with no attempt to protect them. When I got them I had to tear the box open (easy because it was soaked) and try to gently separate the plants from the mess of mesh bags, soil, and broken pots. I emailed the company and they replied promptly, saying "Golly we're sorry to hear that! Plant them and they'll be fine!" I sent a more detailed email, and was told thanks for the thoughtful feedback, they would speak to the shipping department. I would have given a higher rating, but having read these reviews it is clear that they know they have a problem, and they just don't care. I would say order at your own risk. Also, to get basic tracking info they want you to download an app. The package came when I did not expect it, and was sitting in the sun, gently baking. I think we found it promptly enough to prevent damage, but time will tell. The notification that the shipment arrived appeared the next day, and would have been far too late.
Proven Winners Direct’s shipping standards, customer service, and processes are deeply flawed. My original order was automatically canceled, likely due to out-of-stock items, prompting me to place a second order that was confirmed and tracked. When it arrived, the plants were badly damaged, pest-infested, and shipped in a soggy, upside-down box. I reported this immediately, but the advice I received was inadequate. Without my knowledge, the company also shipped the canceled order and later sent me a text demanding payment, falsely claiming prior contact. This was unprofessional and in violation of FTC rules regarding unordered merchandise. I never received a confirmation or tracking email for the first order. After I paid in good faith, they acknowledged a payment issue but ignored the fact that I was not obligated to pay for a canceled order, and they failed to address the damage, pests, and questionable communication practices.
I would have been too embarrassed to have sent out the pathetic twigs this company shipped to me. $60 for two little broken half dead twigs. I cannot believe this company values themselves and their product so poorly. I am an avid gardener and order plants from many nurseries but never ever again from this company. The 2 little plants I received I would not have paid $2 for on a clearance rack. This company sells very nice plants to the large box stores but what they ship out via online ordering is genuinely pathetic. They can do better.
