I have been using 8 of these eCoast models for my bike tour and rental business since January 2024. Customers say they love them, especially the styling. I love the low maintenance and durability. I ended up replacing the center kickstands with heavy duty side stands (PDW Sturdy Lad) because the bikes kept falling over in strong breezes. I also replaced the tan grips with black grips because they were hard to keep clean. I also warn my customers to be careful to lift their leg higher than normal because ~20% would hit their leg on the rear rack when getting on. In general they have been good for my needs. When the cool brown tires wear out, I will probably replace them with slightly smaller 2.6" size with more puncture protection (Schwalbe PickUp). A flat tire can hurt or sometimes ruin a good rental or tour. I had two good interactions with customer support and one frustrating issue. They paid me a fair amount to have the hydraulic brakes bled. When 2 batteries were stolen and they didn't have any in stock, they creatively thought of using a range extender battery instead. One one of my 8 bikes I had a motor cutoff problem and they had me swap out 4 things (battery, display, wheel, and controller). I ended up finding the problem myself...the brake lever has a cutoff feature that was failing. Hopefully they added that to the top of their troubleshooting steps since it's an easy test.
