I am shocked by these reviews. I live in Suffolk and twice we have driven to Many Tears to adopt 2 of the most amazing and beautiful dogs. The staff were absolutely lovely and totally honest about the nervous ex breeding dogs we were adopting . The home checks were easy, one was done with a mobile phone, the communication with the office very simple and satisfactory. One of my girls was rescued from hell in Ireland, she was in a despicable condition and I can't thank MT and Sylvia who drove the van, enough for rescuing her. The other one was only 18 months old and had already had god knows how many litters , exploited by filthy greeders. My next dog will be from MT. Thank you Sylvia (hero) and all your staff, you are simply amazing. You won't always please everyone, people are so quick to criticise these days , and some of these reviews are quite frankly ridiculous, but we are so thankful to you and we adore our girls

Many tears do an excellent job in matching dogs to their forever homes. I adopted an ex breeding female dog of 7 years of age. The vetting and home check I had was to ensure that I would be a suitable owner, as these dogs need lots of patience, love and time to decompress. I would highly recommend them if you’re looking to rehome a dog or a cat.

We have taken on two ex breeding Pembrokeshire corgi's from many tears and cannot praise them enough for what they do and continue to do. We have had Megan for two years and Caru for one. They are now both enjoying retirement with as much love and attention we can give them. I cannot understand the negative reviews from some, so thought I should respond with my own experience. I understand the vetting procedure can be testing, but it needs to be for the sake of the dogs. Most have already had a bad start and now require a special ending for their final years. We have experienced only good and caring advice from all associated with Many Tears. I can only thank Many Tears for all they do for these poor dogs and I will always support and champion what they do. Long may it continue, Please keep up the very difficult work you do. Thank you David and Fiona
If Zero stars were possible, that would be my rating. MANY TEARS ANIMAL RESCUE has admitted they did NOT do a 'Home Check' before placing a GREAT DANE, one of the largest breeds of dog, on foster at a property in our village. That dog jumped over the low garden fence at the property and attacked our beautiful greyhound Ingrid as we walked past, causing her fear, pain, suffering and death. There were MULTIPLE FAILINGS listed in their own report and 7 CHANGES IN PROCEDURE have been identified as being required, along with the gardens of ALL THEIR CURRENT FOSTER HOMES BEING REASSESSED. We have had to fight every step of the way to get to this point. Yes they are a dog rescue and Yes they are a charity, but neither of those should be used as a shield when something so horrific and that was 100% PREVENTABLE happens. If the garden fence was higher, Ingrid would still be alive and I would not have to live with the constant flashbacks, anxiety and sleep deprivation that now dominate my life. It could have been any dog, or even a child. That day it was Ingrid. In her memory we are trying to prevent anything like this from ever happening again. A liability investigation is now under way and the Charity Commission is also involved. Many Tears Animal Rescue have told us to “proceed externally as you feel appropriate”. A review feels "appropriate".
