This company sends you back and forth with the vendor and does nothing other than to compensate with Onekey........over an issue. I booked through "Blue Light app', it took me via Hotels.com to book for our holiday hotel stay. This was a bad choice for me. I payed excessive amount to the establishment and had misleading information to the point that I had my relative check the Hotels.com, establishment website out, we both came to the same conclusion in what we saw advertised. I made further communicated with the establishment, and also confirmed what we had seen advertised they confirmed what we had seen advertised on the website. However, on checking in it was totally different. We were told that their indoor pool was closed for refurbishment and the wifi was not free. We had to sign up to another website to be able to get free wifi otherwise we will end up paying for it... When I highlight this to the establishment and Hotels.com, Hotels.com change their fees drastically for the hotel stay with the update service with the update advertisement. I raised my complaint with the establishment and the establishment sent me to the third party, Hotels.com and the third party, sends me back to the vendor/establishment. .. basically either not resolving the problem in hand. This went on from the 7th April to date. The establishment refused to cancel and give me my refund to move to another hotel. Hotels.com re-adjust the advertisement on the website with drastic fees. I also purchased the Travel Projection that till date, I have not received log in details to file a claim. I cannot use the Travel protection without getting an email confirmation.
Extremely Disappointing Customer Service – Hotels.com is a Huge Letdown I used to trust Hotels.com for my bookings, but after this experience, I will never book through them again. I recently had an issue with a hotel, NH Madrid Paseo de la Habana, where I was given a terrible room with broken ventilation, and to make matters worse, I had a lizard on my bed during the night. Despite paying 315 Euros per night for the room, the hotel’s staff was unhelpful, and when I tried to escalate the issue to Hotels.com, they were completely useless. The customer service from Hotels.com was incredibly disappointing. Instead of offering any meaningful support, they just passed the responsibility back to the hotel, who didn’t care about resolving the problem either. I tried to get a resolution, such as a refund or compensation, but Hotels.com simply ignored my concerns and didn't advocate for me at all. Their response made me feel completely unsupported. In contrast, Booking.com has always been much more reliable, with excellent customer service and a more customer-focused approach. I regret switching to Hotels.com and will be going back to Booking.com for all my future bookings. If you're looking for good service and support, I highly recommend Booking.com over Hotels.com. Their lack of assistance has seriously damaged my trust in their platform, and I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
Iv used hotels.com a few times but after my last experience I won’t be booking with them again. I had an issue with a hotel booked through them, I was told it had closed down, after weeks of trying to resolve the issue with the hotel direct and get a refund I had no joy and hotels.com wasn’t at all bothered, they said it wasn’t their issue and there was nothing they could do. After getting trading standards involved, and questioning where my money had actually gone? I got the refund from hotels.com They are still advertising the hotel on their app
Absolutely fantastic. Didn’t bank on getting money back from hotel as it wasn’t stated in booking . My Mum is in hospital so can’t go . Customer services were excellent and received my money back today . Shocked but very very happy . Been using Hotels.com for many years and they have always been brilliant.Custimer service team is amazing . Thank you so much
