First of all — hello, shrinkflation. Your products have become at least 30% smaller, yet the prices remain the same. Second, I bought three croissants today, and the one I tasted was underbaked. I’ll probably have to throw the other two away. What happened to the quality? I honestly can’t tell the difference anymore between your croissants for 30 kr and those from 7/11 or Lidl for 10 kr. You might say, “But ours are organic,” yet organic flour is nowhere near three times as expensive as regular flour. I’ve been a loyal customer for at least 7–8 years, and I clearly remember the high quality you used to have. It’s disappointing to see such a decline.
Incredibly poor service. (Nørreport st.) Tables were not wiped. We ordered coffee and cakes. After a while I went to take a glass of water (I expected similar service to Espresso house where you have free water stations to serve yourself a tap water). I did not find any, so I asked the waitress if she could kindly refill my bottle. To which she dismissively replied that I can refill it myself in the bathroom, even though she had a kitchen sink within her reach. I argued that the bathroom had only a warm tap water. She looked at her colleague (who acted arrogantly and very obviously not interested in helping), who said that they were "STRICTLY ordered" by their boss to not give water to the guests because "they have water bottles to sell". Excuse me? I was standing there in disbelief. It was not that I came from streets to ask them. I was a guest who has paid for my not-so-cheap coffee and cakes. Even after several attempts to convince them, they were both adamant, they can't refill my bottle. This was on a warm summer day. They were not busy at all. Just wow. Not sure if the boss noticed, but their competitors don't seem to have problem to give this little extra "service" to their guests. Besides, just being a human can sometimes go a long way. We won't be back for sure.
EMERYS LYNGBY HOVEDGADE Today I had the worst experience in this place (Bakery that does not sell bread) today like many mornings I went to this place to buy bread, although today it was 24 normal loaves, but when I got there the lady made it clear to me that she could not sell this and even then she made it clear to me “HERE IN DENMARK YOU CANNOT BUY 24 LOAVES IF THEY ARE NOT ORDERED THE DAY BEFORE BECAUSE THEY LEAVE THEM WITHOUT BREAD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS” I never understood her expression and I would love for the owners of this place if they have cameras to see the way this woman spoke to me making it clear that I can not buy bread, this is really silly because if this place were mine I would be grateful if someone bought my bread, then I agreed to ask “so you won’t sell me bread” and she tells me this time yes (with a very offensive tone) but you must order (I mean order the day before, this is not clear to me) I have gone a thousand times to buy breakfasts for my work, and my husband too where I take a lot of bread and this time she tells me that I can not buy the bread ... besides after she packs my bread in a aggressive and rude way, I was with my daughter who also wanted a croissant but when she saw how the lady treated me she got very sad (she is 8 years old and we have been there many times I even have the coffee card from this place) so much so that she did not eat either the croissant or the juice that we bought, the truth is we felt humiliated ... then the lady changed and tried to be nice but she had already attacked us ... maybe in that place they only sell bread for Danish people? I will not eat this place, I would rather lose my coffee card, and go to another place where they really want to sell bread and do not humiliate you in front of your children. My worst experience in Denmark, I don't recommend it, they shouldn't have such rude people in such a famous place.
Absolutely pathetic. This cafe needs a revamp in service mindedness and quality. You are fast going in the direction of Espresso House which is simply over priced products peddled out to customers because you have branded yourselves as so called "organic". For your Roskilde cafe - get better trained kids to serve your customers and when you get an order wrong - calling the boss to tell me "we don´t make it anymore" is not an excuse. If that was the case, you should not have confirmed the order when I placed it and you should have had the decency to cal your customer (me) and tell me about that fact before I appeared at your cafe in Roskilde to collect it. This has happened before. Not to mention when the till apparently stops working and one cannot pay for their order and is asked to leave. I mean, are we living in 2025 or what? You just lost yourself a customer. It might be just 200-300 kroner a week but continue the way you are and many customers like me will stop their custom as well. Its not like your cafe is teeming with customers anyway!
