Dunnes Stores, which is privately owned, is intensely proud of the fact that it is an Irish company with a primarily Irish customer base.

I purchased Carolyn Donnelly pyjamas as a birthday gift from Dunnes Stores Tralee and discovered a security tag had been left attached at the time of sale. This caused an unnecessary return trip to the store on the same day I was travelling, back to UK, which was very inconvenient. When I returned to Dunnes Stores Tralee customer service to have the security tag removed, the issue was handled poorly and I did not receive an apology at the time.In a separate purchase, I bought a birthday card which was damaged when removing the price label, making it unusable. This raises concerns about product handling and labelling standards.I contacted Dunnes Stores customer service afterwards ( providing proof of purchase and photographs). While I received a response, no goodwill gesture or compensation was offered despite the inconvenience caused and the fact that both purchases were affected.Overall experience: poor quality control, unhelpful in-store customer service, and unsatisfactory complaint resolution process.Have escalated to Head Office as a matter of principal! If could give minus would!
On over hearing manager speaking to staff I recommend that some managers need to take a course on how to speak to staff and treat them properly I'm not surprised that Dunnes have a big turnover of staff leaving

The Irish male manager with the terrible crew cut, with the most arrogant attitude towards female patrons, really shows his lack of respect towards women. He's in drogheda dunnes in the drogheda shopping center if he can't do his job without a style number then maybe she shouldn't have a manager title dunnes should I've this position to a woman, he laughs and gossips about customers to his female colleagues one with blonde hair tall with fake eyelashes and it's stressful going in to dunnes unsure of the behavior by the staff this is unacceptable and highly unprofessional it's very disappointing indeed but not surprising as all the shops represented in drogheda are very badly represented compared to the same shops in Dublin they deal with high stress there, what does drogheda deal with ignorance I say shame on you dunnes please ensure your shops in drogheda do better the clothes department and food department thanks concerned customer and patron of dunnes I do like the product some of the time but very bad intolerable customer care. 2.30-2.45 pm
A bit disappointed with my experience using the Dunnes Stores app voucher. A voucher that had already been used was still showing in my app, so I assumed it was valid for my shop. When it didn’t apply at checkout, I had already completed my shopping and ended up paying more than expected. Customer service said it was due to an internet issue, but it would be great if the app updated properly to avoid this confusion for customers. It s a new issue every week with vouchers to be honest. Just get rid of them.
