Bad experience after purchase. We bought a bed cost DK 21749 with fitting charge DKK 800. We received the bed on the same day as we requested but they couldn’t bring the headboard up to first floor; they said the pathway is small and there is no way they could bring it up. As I was busy with the moving stuff, I did not see whether they even tried to bring it up but just trust them (thinking they are professionals). So we thought we will ask for any alternative solutions from the store afterwards and requested them to take it back. However, things were different, we were told that headboard neither can be exchanged with smaller headboard nor they give us a money back as it was included with the bed. After hearing this, we decided to have a look again and we discovered the headbord could actually be separated into two parts, but to be sure we requested sales person to confirm with a company, but we were met with a firm “NO”. As we were getting nothing we anyway decided to give it a try. But interestingly sales person asked me to sign the paper to take a responsibilities which did not make any sense; anyway I had to either take it or throw it right? Eventually, we managed to make it into two parts and brought it home, It was quite hard for me and my wife to fix the headboard as it was heavy. We thought Drømmeland is reputed store and we will get a good assistance but it was completely opposite, they let us down. They did not even try a bit to help but just gave cold NO every time. I regret paying DK 800 for fitting, as we had to do much of the work ourselves.
We bought our bed at the Frederiksberg store, and the whole experience was excellent. The staff member who helped us was very patient, answering all our questions even when we changed our minds a few times. Once we chose the bed, the delivery estimate was completely reasonable. The team was very responsive and arrived exactly on time. The bed itself is very comfortable, and we’re very satisfied with our purchase. Highly recommend!
I bought an adjustable bed from Drømmeland in July 2025 for nearly DKK 21,000. Shortly after delivery, the base broke under normal use. Instead of replacing the bed, they only offered a “repair” by removing part of the base. I gave them clear deadlines, but they ignored me. I have now filed a complaint with the Danish Consumer Complaints Board. Very disappointing customer service for such an expensive product. My reply: Thank you for your response. However, I would like to clarify a few important points: While I understand that the company may legally offer a repair or replacement as a first step, in my case the proposed “repair” was not a real solution. Removing part of the bed base would not have left me with a functional bed and removing parts from a NEW bed does not equal a "repair" or legally comply with the law. It was only after I escalated the case to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board that Drømmeland finally offered to take the bed back and agreed to refund me but the case is not yet closed, not until the money is back on my account. This experience has been extremely stressful, and I do not consider it “a more than fair outcome” as suggested. The refund is simply what I was legally entitled to from the beginning.
