Cats Protection, the UK’s leading feline welfare charity, helps around 200,000 cats and kittens every year through its national network of over 250 volunteer-run branches and 32 adoption centres.
I’ve nothing but the highest praise for Cats Protection in York. I recently adopted my cat from them and they couldn’t have been more helpful at every part of the process. The website too is a source of valuable information about all aspects of caring for your cat. .
We have been looking for a companion to our resident cat after losing her brother last year. Cats Protection have been very helpful, both during the adoption process and during integration of our new cat into our household. Throughout the process, I have been impressed with how the welfare of the animals in their care is most important to them. Yes sometimes it takes a bit of time to get a reply, but people have to remember that they are dealing with volunteers who are giving up free time to look after a lot of abandoned animals so things understandably can slip through the cracks.
Well your reply tell us all, does it not? They are just a charity collection box, probably another marketing company claiming to be a charitable organisation. When I asked them their telephone number they gave me the RSPCA phone number.
Have emailed and called several times but none ever answers the phone and no one has ever returned an email.
