At 6 months old my washing machine started leaking. I had to wait a whole week for another engineer visit. He said he couldn't find anything wrong but the gasket band might have stretched, usually they would replace it but he didn't have one on the van ( a candy work van ). He advised using a different program. I did this and after 3 washes it was leaking again worse than before the engineer came. I phoned Candy and the soonest they can send out an engineer is a week. This now means I have more washing building up as I didn't catch up from before. My Husband is end of life kidney failure and is mostly bed bound. I explained that I need my washing machine as he has accidents. The nice lady on the phone asked if I could ask my neighbours to do some for me, who in their right minds wants to wash other people's soiled bedding? Surely if the gasket band is a usual part needed they should be carried as standard. Although the machine is only 6 months old i also have it covered under domestic and general, cover and guarantees don't seen worth it.
Had two Candy washing machines first one went wrong 11 months in the pump and spin was intermittent. The second Candy went wrong a month in same problem.Engineer said it was due to the plastic not ceramic pumps they now use. Some operators in their call centre are unhelpful and rude their 3rd party repairCare who they sometimes book jobs out with was extremely rude and unhelpful.Don’t think l would buy these machines form this company again.
Recently bought a Candy CSE C9DF Tumble dryer. Item bought at end October 2025 from Curry’s. Don’t bother the item is not user friendly which goes the same to be said about Curry’s and Candy Customer Services. I rang Curry’s literally after a few days and explained the Tumble Dryer wasn’t user friendly and wasn’t suitable. Reason it wasn’t suitable the fact we couldn’t get it working. Downloaded the manual, searched tutorials, and tried to ask for help from Curry’s. They weren’t interested as the item technically broken. Which they fobbed us off and told us to Contact Candy. Candy have a WhatsApp messaging system which takes twenty minutes to use then be told no human advisors were available. Then when you try to contact them again you have to go through the whole messaging system again. Our consumer rights doesn’t mean anything us less the item is broken. The smart tech we only found out once installed isn’t compatible to our phones. And useless piece of technology. One star is too generous for both Curry’s and Candy. Avoid both if you can.
I bought a Product: Washer Dryers - Candy - CSOW4856TWMBB680 - 3102013925090398 on 25th August 2025 at Currys, now the door gasket is broken - 2 months 2 weeks after buying it. I rang Candy repairs, explained to the customer service person the door rubber gasket had split, it was obvious I needed a new one. She took my serial number and said would make sure the engineer would know ahead of the visit so I did not have to wait for a part. The engineer turned up today and had not been told, he said the ame thing as I thought, broken door gasket... then said part was not in stock, had to be ordered and could take up to 21 days. I have been without a washikng machine for 6 days and now have to wait. I am not happy with this washing machine OR the customer service person who lied to me. I requested a replacement and told I cannot get one as "currently wont be able to replace your appliance as we hold a repair warranty with yourself. We will need to wait for the parts to be delivered in order to repair your appliance." So I have no wasing machine. I will never buy Candy again, a New washing machine appliance should not go wrong in 2 & half months.
