Purchased a Bosch 220W Corded Random orbit sander PEX 220 A today and very surprised Bosch are so tight with complimentary sanding discs with purchase 1 Yes just one .Can'y get any meaner . Such an high profile company too .
Customer service is a joke. Clearly explained what the issue was, was told I needed to go to website to get part. She gave me a part number but when I got it, it was only half of what I needed. Complained and was told just got order the other part. By the end , 2 parts, 2 lots of postage, could have almost bought a new sander. Complained again and getting no reply now.
Shockingly poor customer service. I need a washer - the one that secures the blade on my table saw so I wrote to Bosch explaining that on the exploded view of the saw, the part number was shown as "out of stock". I was invited to complete the email address so that I would be notified when it was back in stock. Nothing for a month so I wrote to Bosch who told me it was not a stock item, I had to contact Miles Tools who would make the part in 6-8 weeks!! I reiterate here that we are talking about a washer (price indicated was £3.90 or so) that secures the blade so my safety immediately springs to mind! Miles wrote back saying they would have to order it from Bosch (not sure why they didn't) so I went back to Bosch and got no reply. So I wrote to Steffen Hoffmann, the CEO/MD and to my absolute disappointment, got no reply from him either. I am still waiting for Bosch to tell me how to go about getting the part that I first enquired about in January!! I don't understand why Bosch are being so unhelpful. I have been polite but firm and to use my saw with this defective part could result in serious injury but that doesn't seem to cause any concern in Bosch. In the light of my experience with them, I could not recommend buying their products. Customer service is paramount nowadays - and even more so in the current economic climate - so where I feel I will not be treated with respect if I have an issue with a product, then I won't buy from them - simple. That, sadly, is where I go from here - but still not able to use my saw.

I was expecting more from a company like Bosch but I guess I was wrong, I purchased £300 worth of portable jet washer in July 2024 come February 2025 the battery is dead will not charge. So I called the power tools customer service number was told a pick up would take place in 48hrs, all I had to do was box up the battery & charger pop in proof of purchase then it would be picked up, nice & easy you might think... Except no one picked the item up it's still sitting here, just got an email from the courier saying they would pick up in the next two days, unfortunately no one has been to collect the item. So I called Bosch at 1600 today I was told pick up could still take place till 1700 today, so I asked what time customer service closes today guess what 1700, so after no one arrived today after having to take two days annual leave as I live alone, I emailed the service department to make a complaint. I would not recommend anyone buy anything made by Bosch it will certainly be my last purchase of anything they make, now I have used two days leave for nothing. Come tomorrow morning I will be straight on the phone calling them, as if they care anyway Bosch have shown little interest in fixing my problem, I am very disappointed with this company I expected so much better than this for service.
