Pushing for a completion date because of “year end” and that there would be a “high risk” sale would be pulled.Everything was running smoothly but there was a tiny possibility the completion date may have been delayed a couple of weeks, and I mean tiny! My mortgage was fully approved on the property and solicitors was working towards the date given, but Barratts Homes couldn’t take the risk because of the year end.Extract of email received below.“I also want to make sure you are aware, as December is this developer’s year end, they require completion on or before the 19th December and if this is not achieved there is a high risk the sale will be pulled. United KingdomLegal completion day was on 11th June 2025.Developer received our payment on time and we received the keys on the next day. Unfortunately, developer failed to complete their works in our unit at that moment.They lip serviced that they will complete their works on 24th June.It was interesting that, at the end, their last working day was on 21st July.The Developer never try to indemnity our lost.We hope they are able to understand that is, we can do a one month fixed deposit in our Bank on 11th June.They collected our payment a month ahead, when their works are still unfinished.We paid extra council tax since 11th June too.What a waste of money. It is just wasted our money to invest their project.Honestly, we have not had a good experience at all. We wish we could give 0 star to this developer.Thank you for reading.Update: 6/11/2025. Firstly, base on the issue we mentioned earlier, we got an acknowledge receipt via email by a senior Senior customer experience manager. Yes, an acknowledge receipt with empty words. Words without visible action.Secondly, the built in ventilation machine was no function on 16th October evening.Refer to the user guide provided by developer, we think the system are still under warranty.We reported this issue to their Customer Service Team on 17th October morning.Since 17th October, regrettable, the housebuilder still failures to provide a precise date to fix their error. It is posing serious health risk to the client. Both physically and mentally.They just sent us million emails and told with catchphrase likes 'as soon as we can'.It is very interesting to read those meaningless words as if they have not wasted enough of my time.As long as you are not embarrassed, it is others who are embarrassed.Can local councillor help the underprivileged groups like us?Thank you for reading.
