Leased a vehicle, paid off with a credit union check , waited for the title …., called after 4 weeks of cashing the check and the answer was they are missing some documents! This was unacceptable answer because they cashed the check but lost the documents, no problem I did new ones went to staples faxed the new documents to the lady I spoke to who promised to call back within 24-48 hours, she never called however my lack of trust with company made call again , this time I got a new manager after 10 minutes on hold and He told me that one of the documents doesn’t have the year and in order for them to proceed , I need to send a new one with the year , day and month are written and he will not add the year because it will be forgery ! So I sent it again . Avoid them at any cost bad service
Hand on heart VWFS are the worst company I think I have ever dealt with. If you are thinking of leasing a car with them, don't! Staff lie through their teeth when you call, they deliver defective cars and then claim they have no knowledge of your lease agreement number! In my case, they are in breach of contact and I will be pursuing costs through High Court. It really is just beyond comical.
I am very disappointed with VWFS. 😓 I purchased a faulty vehicle from Simpsons Skoda in April 2024. I was totally Mis-sold. I was told the warranty was Volkswagen approved for 12 months. This was also stated on the advert on their website. This was a lie & the vehicle came with a 6 months warranty that wasn’t Volkswagen approved! 😠 I was told the vehicle had a full service history including the automatic gearbox as it had done of 40,000 miles at point of sale. It hadn’t. In August 2024, only 4 months after purchasing the vehicle the problems started with the gearbox. I contacted the aftercare sales manager at Simpsons Skoda who totally fobbed me off until the warranty had run out & told me they couldn’t help. Their customer service was horrendous, I’m happy to share screenshots of emails etc. After pleading with them they said I could pay £170 to have the car taken to them, which I did. They then quoted me over £2,000 for it fixing. I contacted VWFS UK to make them aware & explained I want to reject the vehicle as it was faulty aswell as being mis-sold the warranty and service. VWFS have taken over 11 weeks to appoint a case handler to look at this this case handler in question is not contactable, I have telephoned everyday since 10th April & told he would call me back within 72 hours. I’m still waiting. He then sends an email with a conclusion leaving out all of the relevant points. I telephone & ask for the complaints dept, I’m told I would have a call back within 72 hours, it’s been well over that & im still waiting. I telephone & ask to speak to a manager, the manager refused to speak to me as a case handler has been appointed. I am utterly disgusted. Meanwhile I’m paying £315 a month since August to VWFS for a vehicle I don’t have. I am a working mum of three children & had no vehicle for this amount of time. There has been no compassion whatsoever, infact the opposite from Simpsons Skoda who will not engage with me whatsoever but still have my vehicle. I expected better from VWFS.
I have a Volkswagen Atlas which is coming out of lease. I called Volkswagen to provide information for buyout. They have a system that for anything dealership will do, as you know dealership they tried to rip a lot of money so that I will stick with upgrading the car. Why on earth, VW has restrictions that dealer from where I got the lease they can ONLY sell and do the SAFETY. I should be allowed to go to any dealer and I should be able to do Safety from any renowned companies instead of wasting money on dealership. I won’t advise getting lease with VW, they give hard time if you plan to buy your car. I have my friend who did lease buyout with Nissan, he just called Nissan Canada finance and they did all, just sent him paperwork, he sent the cheque and he did safety went to service Ontario and transfer done with no dealership as a third party. VW said dealer will also charge me $1000 for helping in paperwork. Ridiculous Got a response on my review - contact again we will take care of you! Update- I called again; very rude customer service, only response they give we are not car sales for everything go to dealership and they may charge extra dollars, we are not selling cars.. so tell me VW, if I have car, and I am not a dealership so in this world I can never sell my car?? How come you guys don’t know anything when customer wanted to buyout your car? All in all, this is the only company trying to rip off.. Nissan, Hyundai, Acura all are so efficient very streamlined process if you want to buy out- very bad experience
