United KingdomI paid for a course with SVT Ltd, including one payment by debit card and 8 months by Direct Debit. The company closed without informing me, and I never finished my course. I contacted City & Guilds, but they cannot refund payments made directly to SVT. Citizens Advice advised me to contact my bank. I am now trying to recover my payments through Barclays. Very disappointed with the way this company handled students They are scammers

They are more interested in getting your money and essentially running off with it because now they cease to exist and all the learners that are in the middle of an nvq with them have no access to their Work! and are 800 quid down. City and guilds will not help you they tell you to go to citizens advice. The coursework is like it’s written by someone from another planet and when you ask your tutor - whatever she is she tells you you do it every day just put it into words and then when you make a complaint about her she asks you about it! My tutor likes to send Work! back with irrelevant questions at the bottom-this company has taken about three grand From my workplace and me. I’m glad they have shut down.
