The photos are taken carefully to avoid areas with poor maintenance. When I moved in there were a lot of issues, such as blocked drains and broken parts of furniture/appliances. The quality of the housing seems to be dependent on the condition it was left in by previous tenants, without much effort from the property managers to make sure it is of a high standard. There is a monthly cleaner but the kitchen and bathroom are still really messy and dirty. Update: After some unpleasant phonecalls with the company I managed to get my lease ended early. Still had to deal with ongoing issues with appliances not working, plumbing issues and issues with cleanliness and privacy. I was far from satisfied with the outcome and my overall experience; I wish I never booked with them in the first place. PLEASE IGNORE THE REPLY BELOW, IT IS DISHONEST - I ended my lease on very negative terms with this agency (reported them to the Huurteam who found they were overcharging us). They also tried to lie and say they didn't need my permission to enter my room while I wasn't there.
it is a pity ! my daughter left her flat in Rotterdam in june and we still don't have any news of the deposit : 3900 euros is a huge amount ! we send mails and try to call with no results. I am affraid they are crooks... of course, we don't recommend at all...and if somebody from the company could call me back, please do it.
Do not fall for the good reviews. This company is a scam and the fact that they are allowed to get away with this in the Netherlands is a disgrace. I urge anyone and everyone affected by this fraudulent company to contact the police and take legal action.
One good piece of advice, AVOID UNIVERSITY HOUSING BV in Utrecht. We rented an apartment in Utrecht (Livingstonelaan 898) and they NEVER REPAYED THE SECURITY DEPOSIT after we left the apartment in August 2024. They do not respect their legal obligations as they could not care less about the tenants and they never respond to any emails. We now start legal actions against them to get the deposit back.
