I would like to share my experience with UKKO.fi. The service is advertised as a simple 5% fee on invoices, but in reality, the actual cost is much higher. In addition to the 5% fee, there is another mandatory insurance of 3%, plus VAT applied to both the fee and the insurance. As a result, a significant portion of the client’s payment—around 10%—is effectively used to cover UKKO’s fees and related expenses. This lack of transparency can be misleading for new users who expect a straightforward and predictable cost. Clearer communication about the total costs and mandatory insurances would be greatly appreciated. As we are approaching the end of the fiscal year, I will continue using UKKO for the next two months. However, I will certainly switch to a company that is more transparent and does not create any surprises when calculating the actual amount being deducted from my account.
Changing conditions when you're already a customer can put an entrepreneur in a difficult situation, especially when it's just a little second income. It was a good experience to get to know that special conditions for special situations are possible.
