I should have listened when advised by 2 different people to avoid Total Tools. On Nov 28, I ordered, with a hefty price tag, an EGO POWER+ 56V Mower via Click & Collect at the Maroochydore store specifically because the website showed a green dot clearly stating "In Stock." It has been an absolute nightmare since, and I am now left without a mower during peak growth season. When I called to collect, they couldn't find my order. I was promised callbacks that never happened. I had to chase them, only to be condescendingly told "online orders take 14 business days"—despite the website explicitly advertising it as in stock at this location. It has now been over 2.5 weeks. I called for an update and was told it won't be ready until maybe the second week of January- almost a 2 month wait for an item I already paid for under the pretence it was available immediately. To top it off, when I expressed frustration that my yard is becoming a jungle, the staff member laughed and suggested I drive to Bundaberg if I wanted it sooner. This is deceptive advertising. I have paid for a product I cannot access, and the delays are costing me time and money. I expected at least an apology from Total Tools, rather than laughing at customers for their own logistical failures.
I ordered mig wire on 4/12/25 as I didn’t need it right away and wanted to save myself a trip. It is now the 10th and it still hasn’t been shipped. (I bought from a competitor in the end). I keep checking tracking and it says the order has been received but nothing beyond. I tried using the online chat but it doesn’t work. I requested a refund for the item I never received and got little response. It says it will take up to 5 days after they process the request to get a refund. It also said “due to the high volume of requests it would take 24-48hrs to look at the request. So I could have mined, smelted and made the product myself faster than Total Tools This was the response from the company after requesting a refund for a product never sent. On entering the store 4 staff were chatting. No greeting. No offer of assistance. On check out guy was grumpy. Had hay fever which I understand but it was a crappy experience wish I had have returned the goods and shopped elsewhere. No going back. Inv 288168.
Bad service from both Total Tools and their delivery service Shippit/Aramex. All of them promised but didnt deliver. FACTS: I ordered and paid online for a leaf blower on Sunday at 12.30. Total Tools advised Sunday 2pm that the item was packed ready for delivery. Aramex picked it up on Monday at 9.46am. Total Tools, Aramex and Shippit all advised on Tuesday at 7.40am that the item was with the courier and would be delivered on Tuesday. It wasn't. Now at 9.30 on Wednesday it still hasn't been delivered.
