I’ve been to this store three times to buy fish, and every time I got tired of waiting. No one came to help me, even after I asked for assistance. Very poor customer service.

I was at the Petco in Fort Myers Florida this afternoon and had the most wonderful sales person! Her name is Dea and she helped with my purchase and offered suggestions for the best color -and even helped me decide on an engraved name tag. I needed to purchase a collar for a stuffed animal "Capybara" I knitted for my granddaughter. Dea was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - made my experience a 5-star!!!

I have used Petco for grooming services for some time, but first time in this Chicago location. First for my Bedlington Terrier "Mr. Pibb", and now for a new Bedlington Terrier, "Ferris Bueller". Both have been trained as Service Dogs. They check my blood-sugar level by smell - I am diabetic. Ferris was booked into this location at 613 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago on July 9, 2025. There was some delay in staff arriving at this location at the booked time of 8:00am, but someone finally arrived and took my dog. He was returned to me at about 11:30am. He looked fine. Subsequently, he has developed a large patch of black hair on what is a light gray to white dog. This was due to some kind of injury being done to him during the grooming session at your facility that damaged the hair in these locations. Perhaps a burn. The abrupt change in color is a known result of skin injury, often during grooming by a careless or inexperienced groomer. This is well-documented including by the AKC. I've also attached a photo showing the injury area. I've owned a Bedlington Terrier for over 16 years and this is the first experience of groomer injury to my dogs. I'm hopeful that there isn't any longterm damage to Ferris Bueller from this grooming. The worst part? Reports directly to Petco are ignored by management.

If I could give them negative five stars, I would — and I’d throw in a sad trombone sound for good measure. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone (including being put on hold three times — a personal best!) with someone who sounded like they were calling me from the middle of a very busy chicken coop. Between the background chaos and the thick accent, I caught about every third word — and I’m pretty sure one of them was “sorry,” but who knows? All I wanted was to reset my password. Simple, right? I gave them the exact email address they use to send me my monthly statements (you know, proof I exist), plus the account number from that very statement — which, by the way, arrived today. Their response? “We can’t find an account with that email.” So after 20 minutes of elevator music, confusion, and me slowly aging, their big solution? “Just open a new account!” Oh sure — and maybe I’ll adopt a new pet while I’m at it just to make the experience complete. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told, “No supervisors are available.” Naturally. Probably off somewhere avoiding calls like mine. And there was no post-call survey either, which is hilarious because you know they’d rather wrestle a raccoon than let people rate this circus. To whoever’s in charge of Customer Service — I hope you’re at least pretending to care, because from the outside, it sure looks like no one does. But hey, the good news? There are plenty of other places to buy pet food. Ones where I don’t have to solve a riddle, wait on hold, and question my life choices just to reset a password.
