As per another Review of this company. I to wish a 0 Star was available. The worst customer service company I have ever dealt with. I can not warn 'you' enough to avoid using this company. In a period of 45 days to switch to our preferred supplier of choice NOT Ruby Energy. I dealt with 9 different people. Calls from select members of their team, offering assitance but actually provided none or never responding. The amount of time, energy and effort, as a non-customer of Ruby Energy, I spent in trying to resolve matters, I should be paid £100.00's for my time. I could write so much more about this bad bad experience BUT I have had enough of them. I did however, want to leave this review. I look forward to receiving the usual "Sorry you had to complain"... blah blah blah generic rubbish response. This company doesn't care, they want as much out of you as they can get and when you don't conform, they will mess you around as much as possible. As others mention, look up BES Utilities - it's the same company MO (in my opinion)
The tenant ended their contract, vacated the property, and provided all required documentation, including the final meter reading and the landlord’s full contact details. Ruby Energy was correctly notified of the move-out in accordance with your procedures. Despite this, Ruby Energy has continued to issue non-contract, high-value charges to a tenant who no longer occupies the property and has no legal interest in it. Ruby Energy has stated that because the property is currently empty, responsibility remains with the last tenant rather than the landlord. This position is incorrect. Once a tenant has vacated, ended their contract, and provided final readings and landlord details, their liability ends on the move-out date. Any subsequent charges for an unoccupied (“void”) property are the responsibility of the landlord or current owner, not the former tenant.
Lillyb was great help and understood my concerns. Hopefully my issues have now been resolved.
if i could give 0 stars I would every month electric bill is stupidly high for what I use over 200 a month for 10 led lights and a compressor thats on 20 minutes per day try to talk to someone on the phone and thats pointless because you can't understand them. just checked what my next bill is and its nearly £30 more than last month and we was closed for 2 weeks. checked Google see if I can end contract early to go somewhere else says yes but have to pay a fee which I was willing to do and when I phoned and asked they said I cant end early. other electric suppliers ive spoke to have also said ruby energy is a rip off and they dont deal with them and getting rate quotes off other companies for a 1/4 of what im getting charged now
