Public Goods automatically enrolled and charged me $79 for an annual membership without my consent nor do i have any records of being notified about new memberships. When i asked to cancel membership and be refunded i was then prompted to enroll in a different membership instead of honoring the initial request to cancel the membership i never enrolled in. I'm in shock this is allowable. This is some very unethical business practices and dark patterns. Wont be shopping here ever again.
I received an email confirming that I had signed up for a "membership", having not visited this webpage in 5 years. It took 6 emails for the representative to agree to revert the charge, with a lot of arguments that I had "signed up" as part of a recent purchase, which was never made.
My initial email requested a refund and cancellation, yet I received two additional emails trying to to upsell me to stay. In both instances, I reiterated my initial request. It was not until the company's fourth response that my request was honored. When someone wants a refund and cancellation, give it to them. Do not ask them to buy more things for two more emails before doing what they asked. It was very disrespectful and annoying.
