I have been a loyal customer of the post office for travel insurance for 15 years and the first time I’ve ever needed to make a claim I have found that they make it unreasonably difficult to even get the claim started. Our baggage was delayed on a return flight and when we finally received it, one of our suitcases was cracked. In order to claim they require your boarding pass from the outbound journey as well as the return journey in order to even start a claim I do not feel this is reasonable, this is just one of many hoops they require you to jump through before you can even start the process.
The claims are dealt with a company called claims consortium group to be avoided at all cost slow in dealing with a genuine claim I live on wirral dealt with a guy from Suffolk evential some one came to see me at home he was satisfied with my claim three months in still waiting
Better off getting insurance with your bank or elsewhere the post office sell you a policy then use technicalities to not pay you out luckily my bank got the money back that I paid for policy!!
Bad company we forgot a passport brought my late wifes passport instead of my gransons went next day £400 extra to pay post office said I should read the terms and conditions lovely way to treat someone thought this was a trustworthy company and look after your needs I got it wrong. Will never use again
