Without Jeff from the Cleveland market, we would be waiting additional weeks to get our POD. But he went above and beyond and was an absolute rockstar! Much appreciation to him! He should be leading your customer service department, honestly one of the most understanding and helpful people I’ve ever come across.
Drivers were polite, professional, and attentive at both ends of the move. In Pittsburgh especially, Chazz on the drop off and the other driver on the pick-up were VERY proficient and navigated a challenging space with care and precision. Lots of communications kept us informed. (Although almost too many system-generated emails & texts.) The phone reps were also helpful and professional.
We moved from Phoenix to Richmond, VA using PODs’ services and renting a 16-foot POD. We would recommend PODs without hesitation, but with some cautionary advice. The process of booking the POD, delivery of the empty POD, retrieval of the packed POD, delivery of the POD to the new address and retrieval of the empty POD was seamless and uncomplicated. The hiccough at the receiving end, which was entirely our fault (gate to the property was not wide enough to accommodate the truck), was handled with ease and professionalism. The most stressful part of the move was determining the correct-sized POD. In our case, we were making a permanent move to our second home, which was already fully-furnished. Thus, the space in the POD was taken up with boxes, not furniture. We had a difficult time gauging ahead of time the size of our load and the capacity of the POD. We did not pack or unpack the POD ourselves. Instead, we hired third-parties with whom we had prior experiences. On the packing end, the company we hired had a good deal of experience packing PODs. For an additional minimal fee, they came out and surveyed what we intended to pack and told us that the 16-foot POD would be adequate. We were able to mitigate the only part of the process that caused any angst by hiring a third party to assist in evaluating our particular need. PODs was not able to do that for us.
