Great service from Plumbing World. Nothing was too much trouble for the most responsive of customer service - item selection, advice, placing orders, small return of leftovers. Please avoid! Cheap unfortunately means low quality here. One of the items (shower) was never sent, after chasing managed to get a refund. The shower enclosure was badly bent and distorted multiple places - the idea of checking it thoroughly expects you to start installing it asap as it's impossible to notice details like this before. Had to put it in the skip and buy a new one. No refund.
Warning Customers to Think Twice We recently purchased a Strom electric combi boiler from Plumbing World. As soon as it was installed, the boiler displayed an error code and would not operate. We contacted Strom directly in an attempt to resolve the issue, however found them extremely difficult to deal with, with no clear route to getting the unit fixed or replaced. We then contacted Plumbing World, as they were the supplier and under our consumer rights they are the party responsible. Initially communication was positive, but the most recent response has been very concerning. We were told that because the boiler had been fitted, the matter now falls under the manufacturer’s warranty and that we must deal with Strom and follow their procedures. This position is completely unacceptable. UK consumer law is very clear — if goods are faulty, the customer has the right to reject and return them to the supplier. It is not reasonable for Plum & World to push us toward a lengthy manufacturer process, especially when the product has never worked from day one. In our experience, Plumbing World attempted to direct responsibility away from themselves and onto the manufacturer, which goes against our consumer rights. Customers should be aware of this approach before purchasing, as you may find yourself being passed between the supplier and manufacturer with no resolution. We therefore strongly recommend thinking twice before purchasing from this company.
Ordered a Merlyn tray, arrived on time, looked ok on inspection. After fitting a crack appeared (manufacturing fault). There was no hassle at in sorting a replacement. Great customer service.
