Test drove a car and liked it and when I pointed out it smelled of cigarettes, I was assured they’d be able to get rid of the smell. When I went to collect it a few days later on the Tuesday, they had used a perfume bomb but it really just masked the smell. They offered £100 off to pay for a specialist valet, so I agreed. By the time I drove back to my house, I had a flat tyre. Easily done, could happen to anyone but when we went into the boot to get the repair kit, the boot well was full of water and the rear lights were full of condensation. I called and asked them to collect it and asked for a full refund and I was asked to call the following day after the car had been collected. Then the circus rode into town! I called the next day and they offered to fix it but I said I wanted a refund. I was told no one in the office could authorise a refund and to call again the next day when the manager would be available. Couldn’t believe only one manger was the only person able to refund but as I work full time, I asked if he could call me when I was free around 10.30 the next day. No call came. I called them again and was told the manager wasn’t in the office. At this point I called the head office and was told someone from management would call me asap. At 14.52 I eventually got a call from the elusive manager. When I asked why he hadn’t called at the agreed time, he said, “with the greatest respect” he doesn’t have time to call people like me just because it’s convenient for me. I didn’t detect any respect! He was dismissive from the start of the call and was adamant he wasn’t interested in giving me a refund and the problem would get fixed. When I pointed out it was not mentioned when selling the car, so it was an undisclosed fault, he again disagreed and said “I’m telling you now, you’re not getting a refund” I said I was going to end the call and speak to my partner and call back. Called back the next day and surprise surprise, the manager was having a day off (Friday) and wouldn’t be back until Monday. I wrote a detailed email and copied and pasted Perrys 7 Day Money Back Guarantee from their website. So, for 6 days they had my money. I had no car, no apology but also horrendous customer service. The matter was finally resolved when my partner went to the office on the Monday. Was left waiting for 30 minutes of course before the “manager” came out, very sheepishly to finally agree to a refund. I still spent 2 more days calling to get my deposit back. The manager needs to do some courses on customer service and be advised it’s 2025, the days of patronising and bullying women buyers is long gone! Grow up and do your job.

Bought my car 2 weeks ago from Huddersfield. The staff were very friendly and accommodating from start to finish. I requested the car to be delivered to me and they were happy to arrange. I got a telephone call on the delivery day and was told the company had cancelled. But as the date had been arranged a staff member would still get it to be that day. Even after doing a full day working Gabriella delivered my car and it came with a full tank! Many companies I think would have tried to reschedule. I would certainly recommend this branch, they were brilliant. Huge thanks and shout out to Gabriella and Albert who dealt with me, you guys are amazing.

what a joke of a company, and i used to be subcontracted to them, baught a second hand van to get me to work and back with all my tool's, company i work for gave me a work van so my vans been sat for a few month, only 3k miles since purchase done in the van but went for a drive other week to heard a slight knocking. took it back to Doncaster dealership for diagnosis for them to come back to me with a cost of repair of £3.5k for numerous things that in 3 thousand miles should not of failed if the person who did the inspection before the van left the dealership was even competent enough would of picked up on these faults, never mind the person who did the mot. warranty says they wont cover the cost of any repairs as its wear and tear. to top it all there diagnosis that picked my pocket of £140 was misdiagnosed and whoever it was decided to put whatever greasy stuff like oil onto rubbers on moving parts which now sounds like the vans falling apart and dangerous too drive. well done perrys vauxhall Doncaster what a shit show you have done here

When looking for a car the one thing I can’t abide is a pushy sales person, when I called at bury branch of Perrys I was met by Mike, very friendly chap, not pushy at all, extremely helpful, very knowledgeable regarding the car and, really just a breeze throughout the purchase. I was extremely happy with our deal and would purchase again in the future.
