I booked a shipment through parcel broker for collection on 7 Jan. They had concerns over how the item was packaged - despite the packaging already having travelled in Europe, along with a number of other items that were packaged the same way & arrived undamaged and without problem. They gave two separate reasons 1) I may incur extra charges and 2) the item may become damaged. Given the item had already travelled and was protected against damage I was happy to take the risk, and on.On 5 Jan they agreed to collect the item on the basis I would be liable for any damages - which again i was happy to take the risk. On 7 Jan, the day it was due to be collected, and my friend in Sofia had made arrangements to stay in for, I received an email to say they wouldn’t be collecting the item. Not only did they waste my (and my friends time) they said I would receive a refund for the £132 paid, but I am yet to receive this back.It might be a bit more expensive to go direct but Ive learnt that it’s a lot less hassle, particularly as ParcelBroker seem to have contracts that have very specific criteria on what can & can’t be shipped.
I must commend this broker for being both affordable and exceptional. My experience with Sophie was outstanding, and her service was flawless! Highly recommend! She provided various options and found the most cost-effective way for me to send my items.
