Thank you Cat for a great experience I had over the past 12 weeks. You have taught me a lot on both the physical and the emotional level. Very much appreciated.

2 stars only because the instructors are great and genuinely friendly — otherwise, I’d rate this gym zero if I could. If the membership were reasonably priced, I might be more forgiving of the poor service. But Warwick Nuffield Gym charges £75 for "special" members and even more for regular members, which is simply outrageous considering what they offer. Here’s what’s wrong with the place: The air conditioning is frequently broken or ineffective. One of the studio floors is uneven — a clear safety hazard that somehow passed risk assessment. The children's changing area is in the same space as the adults’, with no real separation. This feels poorly thought-out and uncomfortable. The lift was broken for months before being fixed. There’s always at least one treadmill out of order. Hot water is unreliable. Safety hazards are ignored — like a wipes container that fell off the wall and was just left on the floor during classes. Customer service is abysmal. Feedback is consistently ignored and emails go unanswered. Instructors sometimes don’t show up, and the gym doesn’t provide substitutes. I even heard one instructor stopped coming because she wasn’t being paid. To top it all off, even after giving one month’s notice, the gym found a loophole to charge me an extra month. I cancelled on April 13, but apparently, cancellations are only processed on the 1st of the month — so I’m being billed for all of May. Avoid this gym at all costs. Great instructors can’t make up for the poor management, safety issues, and exploitative practices

UPDATE 15/04/25: If self-funding, insist on Nuffield declaring fees or get ambushed! I was told I would pay 'no more than' £230 at the end of a 15 consultation...it was just full price! Fees are generally non-competitive and the most that you're likely to pay for services anywhere. Overall, the medical service and support at Nuffield Hospital (Ipswich) is great. The rooms and food options were also very nice. However, examination room doors were casually left open in full view of the waiting room during pre-op appointments. Nurses were flustered and could have delivered a more professional service with a little thought and without any more time and effort. Admin was particularly poor with letters that advised incorrect details (appointment times), unexplained changes (date changed but looked like an error) and were sometimes unreadable and badly printed.

The gym is very specious with lots of equipment plus the staff are helpful. Loving it. 😂💯
