In 2023, I hired Ricardo and his company My Product Today for a product development project. The initial pitch was slick: a polished presentation, claims of high success rates, and a “trusted” development team. I paid a substantial deposit in good faith. What followed was a masterclass in stalling and evasion. Timelines were missed. Communication turned vague. Deliverables were delayed indefinitely or outright ignored. I had to initiate every follow-up. Critical aspects of the project stagnated for weeks at a time with no explanation, while I was nudged to invest more. Eventually, I demanded a refund. Ricardo admitted fault and promised to repay me in full. That was nearly a year ago. Since then, I’ve received only small, sporadic payments, each requiring more effort to chase than the last. At one point, he claimed he couldn’t provide a payment date because he “didn’t want to lie.” To be clear: • He agreed in writing to a specific refund schedule. • He broke multiple deadlines. • He offered no advance notice, despite promising exactly that. • And when pressed, he implied I’d only see my refund if I stayed silent. I’m not the only one. Multiple reviews tell the same story: overpromise, underdeliver, disappear. If you’re considering working with My Product Today, don’t. Unless you have airtight legal contracts, unlimited patience, and no concern for sunk costs, walk away. This company should not be trusted with your money.

On April 2023, I signed a contract with Ricardo Valderrama, the CEO of My Product Today. He told me that his company would help me manufacture and distribute my invention. I developed a device that rehabilitates injuries. The contract agreed upon was for them to produce 500 units. I paid him more than $100,000.00 for the services that were agreed upon and outlined in the project. Ricardo Valderrama told me that he was going to tell his engineers that my project is of high priority. A few weeks after, he told me that they have the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) ready and they are looking for an adequate factory to manufacture this product. They sent me some very crude drawings and a very blurry video of something that looked nothing like my invention. To this day, I have not seen any Computer Aided Design (CAD) which is pivotal for the next step of plans that were supposed to have been completed long ago. In the following months, I asked several times for updates on the status of my product. Ricardo assigned Serena Conolly as my point of contact and as the Project Manager for my invention. I later found out that she was Ricardo’s Daughter. I have been unable to find out what Serena Conolly’s qualifications are to be in charge of project such as mine. Ricardo said that he has teams in China that look for factories to do business with. I asked to meet with someone from these teams and Ricardo would never set it up. I could never confirm if he truly had teams in China. Serena Conolly would have prolonged delays in her responses with never ending excuses for not being able to find a factory. Her excuses ranged from strikes at the factory, holidays in China and even tariffs long before tariffs were an issue. Her excuses became more and more unbelievable each time so I became suspicious. With my suspicion growing, I asked that my prototype be returned. After several months of waiting, the prototype arrived broken and missing parts. Some of the parts were custom made and very expensive to repair and replace. I no longer have a prototype to use for demonstrations the production of the product so I am now severely behind in my timeline in addition to suffering great financial loss. The excuses became exhausting so I asked for my money back. Ricardo Valderrama said that it was not possible because the money was used as a deposit in the factories to keep my invention in queue. That made no sense at all because Serena Connoly said that they have NOT found a factory to build my device. Someone is not telling the truth. Ricardo since then refused requests for video calls once I asked for refund. He stated that it would be best to communicate by email Ricardo Valderrama sent me an email on March 2025 stating that he planned on giving my money back with 5% interest. That has not happened. If you look on line, you will see that he has opened and closed 14 businesses starting in 1998. He has had several liens and judgements against him. He has numerous complaints from several inventors who trusted him with their money and never received the services that Ricardo Valderrama and Serena Conolly promised. I visited their office at 360 Central Ave, Suite 800, St. Petersburg and found out that the office belongs to Tampa Yacht Sales (tampayachtsales). There was not an office for My Product Today. Do a search on the internet of Ricardo Valderrama and Serena Conolly and you will see that I am not the only one that they have taken advantage of. We help children and families in need. 100% of the profits of the device were going into that cause. It was going to be something that made the world a better place. This venture only left us in debt. Ricardo Valderrama and Serena Conolly do a good job of making promises and selling people dreams. Those broken promises become financial nightmares full of deceit. Stay away from them and any other business ventures associated with Ricardo Valderrama and Serena Conolly.

DO NOT do business with Products in Real Life, My Product Today or ANY other business affiliated with Ricardo Valderrama or Serena Connoly. Please do your research on their business history, complaints that are now showing up, check their business license privileges which you will find have become inactive under multiple different business names because they fail to submit annual reports which is very shady. DO NOT give them ANY payment for ANYTHING. Please take note of the competing responses to negative reviews as well as be advised that you can reverse look up information and you might find that reviews can be artificially manufactured. Lastly, do a google search on the person you are trying to do business with and you will find the other platforms that angry clients are forming against this particular business. You will be very informed! Contact your local district attorney office if you have been a victim of this company. Fake reviews are illegal ..... Educate yourself! And contact the FTC to report your concerns. Yes, in the United States, fake reviews are illegal under rules established by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The "Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials," which went into effect in October 2024, prohibits a wide range of deceptive practices related to online reviews and testimonials. Look up the current pending lawsuit with all details on trellis law. How can they be so successful and so trusted with pending litigation to larger and actually reputable companies? Is that not a red flag???
