About Helping Hands Home Care

Since 1989, we have been providing compassionate, person-centred care at home to individuals across the UK. Our journey started in a small house in Warwickshire, and today, we have over 150 branches across the country. This growth has allowed us to extend our exceptional care and make a bigger difference while allowing our customers to remain in the place they love. Our carers are kind and compassionate individuals who always go the extra mile. They are fully trained to provide the highest level of care, no matter what condition you are living with. We are also recognised for delivering specialist dementia care, a service we have enhanced through our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. This has allowed us to provide our carers with dementia training to help support our customers living with different types of dementia. Our service is fully regulated and monitored by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales. We are proud to have received an overall rating of GOOD, and the CIW reported that our carers go “above and beyond, doing things that are ‘not on the list’.See more

The service have been supporting my elderly father for some considerable time now. The carers are polite, knowledgeable of his individual needs and preferences and whilst being friendly they always maintain a professional approach. We have been very happy overall with the quality of care and support given and would have no hesitation in recommending the service to others.

I really don't think its easy to form a review when I have only just joined, and don't have much to explain. The 'carers' concerned were both kind and helpful but one was very young, delightful, but with not a lot in common for an 89 year old as a possible companion and the second, again delightful but it seems very popular and not very likely to be able to accept more work (my thought). Would seem somewhat difficult to build any sort of relationship with one person when communication is the key and the 'carers' are so varied, understandable, but difficult for the client nevertheless. person

Stop promising work, I joined this company was there at the Chesterfield branch for 5 weeks. Told me there would be a lot of work, to be given between 8 and 10 hours. Not something you can live on. Very unprofessional, turned up for training to be cancelled when I got there. Messed my shifts about, just everything was wrong. And they are still advertising for staff. Do not give your job up to work for this branch. I turned down another decent job to work for these. All for nothing. Head office aren't much better at dealing with things either. Disappointed 😞
