My Ford Focus developed engine trouble on August 15. It was towed to a Ford Dealer in Cuevas Almanzora on Sept. 1 . Although they received notice that the car warranty provider would pay for the repairs on October 2, the Dealer waited until payment in full was received on November 3, to Order the new engine. As a result, my car Will not be ready until December 15. I called Ford Spain to complain on September 1 they did absolutely nothing to help. I am still waiting for my car.

We had a service from Auto Jupiter in Lorca for our 2011 Ford Mondeo Estate. It needed a gearbox oil change as it was reaching 200k but apart from that it has always been serviced by Ford and there was nothing wrong with it. Before the service I took it to a local mechanic for a pre ITV check and they went over the car and told me that it would be worth changing the fan relay and it needed new tyres. Apart from that is was as good as they had seen which isn't surprising as this is a car that was owned by a Ford employee in Dubai for the 10 years previous and serviced every 3 months. I told them about the relay switch and left it with them. I picked the car up and all seemed well and they told me they had broken the dipstick accidently and were waiting for a new one. No big issue. The service was 600 euros. There were a few niggles and bangs but I figured this was just the car settling back after the service. 2 days later the fan started running continuously and drained the battery. We were unaware of this until it happened as we had left the car thinking the fan was just running for a few minutes like normal after shut off. My family and I were stuck 50km away from home but 5km from the dealer. I phoned the dealer and told them I would bring the car in and needed a replacement. They said no. I told them that they would need to pick the car up then. They said no. I asked them to send a mechanic out to check the car. They said. No. I called my insurance company and they came out. The relay switch had not been changed and the mechanic pointed out other issues that he could see that would soon be a problem. The alternator had been loosened and was rattling, there was a wiring block that had been disconnected, The thermostat had not been connected correctly and he said it was obvious some things on the service like fluids hadn't even been looked at. The water level was very low, for example, which hadn't been the case the day before the service. We phoned the dealer again and they told us it wasn't their problem phone after the weekend. We did and were told they could only fit us in 10 days later and no courtesy car. I told them to make sure they had the relay for the fan. A mechanic friend disconnected the fan, took out the relay ready for the new one and tightened the other stuff up so the car could be used for short trips. Like getting our kids to school. 10 days later we took the car to the dealer and were told it wouldn't take long. 3 hours later we were told that the problem was that we needed a new radiator and fan. I called bull and the mechanic tried to tell me that the whole unit was faulty and that it would all need replacing. I asked if he had even bothered to replace the relay and he said yes. I showed him that he hadn't as there was no relay as it had been removed and he just looked at me and said. Yes this car doesn't have one. Absolute joke as it definitely had one before it was taken out for replacement. He then showed me the dipstick replacement and said to go to the office and pay. I said what for? The office tried to charge me 32 euros for a 5euro dipstick they had broken, claiming it had come from Germany and that was the cost. Do you expect me to believe there is no dipstick between here and Germany? What about the cars in your show room. You broke it. I told them to get stuffed as they had broken it initially and then lied about the fan. I removed the dipstick and stormed out furious. Since then we have discovered several other faults that were not there before the service all of which seem to be caused by loose wires or bolts not being as tight as they should be. Things they charged us for were not done and they were so incredibly rude I cannot believe they are actually a dealer. Auto Jupiter are an absolute bunch of criminals and I will be filing a report with the police about them and have reported them to fords head office.

Ford Motor Espana are so full of crap and they will let you down if your car fails and need repair from warranty, so do yourself a favor and buy another brand !! My car a Ford Focus from 2019 blow up its engine at 3.000 kilometer and the car came with 5 years of warranty, but becuase it did not got service on time they rejected to repair the car ?? The case is that the engine blow up in December 2022 and the car was parked in my garage in Spain since January 2020 and then Corona broke out and i was not able to travel to Spain for a long time, and the car exceeded the time for service because of travel restrictions and thats why repair was rejected. The car did not drive at all during the period of time, it was stored in a closed warm garage and had it like a baby, the second drive it took in December 2022 it blow up and was towed to Autovisa in Malaga where they concluded that there was no oil on the car, there was but it was just all under the car becuase the engine had made a hole in the block between cylinder 2 and 3, a very common fault on this type of engine. The worst thing is that to begin with Autovisa tried to hide the fault to me, it took 2 months to me to get the real reason why it blow up, and to Ford Motor Espana they told them that i had run the car dry of oil who was not true. I am a mechanic myself and my car did have oil in it, and no matter what even if your car misses a service and not has been driven because of circumstances that you cannot prevent like Corona, you still expect a car to last more than 3.000 kilometers... I have seen cars drive more than 50.000 kilometers without service and nothing happened, so service or not the engine would have blown up anyway, the Ecoboost engine are known to do that in the Focus RS and your warranty should cover no matter what on a new car, and give the customer the benefit of doubt when Ford knows that they has a problem with this type of engine. I called and wrote Ford Motor Espana several times, and i also asked them to get in contact with their CEO because this is not the way to treat a customer, but the CEO of Ford Motor Espana are so afraid to face a customer that he does not respond to any messages at all, you can only wonder why ?? I also took contact to Ford in my home country at the time to ask them what to do, and they told me that if the car had been registred in DK, properly they would have repaired the car because of the circumstances, low kilometers and still on warranty and that they was aware of the weakness of the engine, but because it was registered in Spain they could not help me, but they helped me to get in contact with Ford Motor Europe who unfortunately told me that i had to accelerate the problem to Ford Motor Espana which i already did, or they told me that i could send a letter to Jim Farley CEO in the USA to ask him to look into how Ford Motor Espana treats their customers, which i have decided to do now. You don´t have to look more than a minut on the internet to see that Ford Motor Espana really collects on unhappy customers by let people up to save a few bucks, and Autovisa in Malaga also rejected to repair my car afterwords because i told them that if i had to pay myself i wanted a reinforced engine in it where they make the block stronger so it will not break anymore, and that you can only get from specialized companys who makes these blocks or you can buy a kit to install on the OEM engineblock, but when Autovisa realised that they could not ern the big profit on the engine block themselves they would not repair the car, even if they would be paid in full labor cost to do the work, it just shows how greedy they are after lying to me and make a faulty diagnose on the car so warranty repair for sure would be rejected. Bad reviews always falls back to the CEO in charge, and in this case no wonder why it falls back on Mr. Jesús Alonso Ford Motor Espana who apparently don´t have the skills to train his staff to deliver a satisfied customer service when you are so unlucky to have bought a Ford and live in Spain.

I have had my Ford Kuga 4 years from new. Due to an accident in 2018, its first year Ford replaced the engine "with a new one" subsequent to that I have had continuous issues with the "new" engine. My car has now been back with Ford Lorca for 6 weeks, trying to determine the issue. Ford Spain have now decided to replace the engine again!! So three "new " engines in 54,000KM!! I am now told they do not know when the "new" engine will be available and have refused to provide me with a courtesy car whilst I wait. I have spent over €72,000 with Ford in 6 years and this is how I am treated. Never again, do not buy a Ford or deal with Ford Spain. Diabolical
