PortugalThis is a review specifically of ERA Caparica (Costa da Caparica, Portugal), regarding João - the boss of that branch. I understand there is a financial incentive for real estate agents not to be honest, which is why so many are happy to lie in the course of their business, and why the profession justly has this reputation. I have a realistic view of that. However, these guys take lying to a whole different level. I have honestly never seen adults with so little regard for the truth and for the welfare of their customers. The stress and anxiety they caused on both sides of our deal were immeasurable.Both the seller and the buyer ended up with a profound disgust and (as you can hear in my tone), a real resentment for how we were treated by the people who work in ERA Caparica, specifically for João (the boss of the branch), who clearly encourages the culture. This is a man who has no sense of decency, zero integrity, and demonstrated repeatedly that he would throw anyone under the bus to make himself an extra euro.For anyone who takes the time to read this, I implore you - if you have the choice to work with any other agent except these guys, choose the other. You will not regret it.
An Agent with this company Zapata Tate who also uses the names Mankento Tate and TateTate sold us a house that he stated was only on the market for 4 days and needed only $2000 in repairs. We later discovered that the house had been on the market for 7 months and had been in forclosure. After four months of ownership we have to replace a complete HVAC system at 10K and a hot water tank, two car garage door, a new roof at 20K and a new french drain to stop the garage from flooding. We are in are 70s with limited income and were swayed by Mr. Tate stating he was a man of God and his ability to qoute the Bible. We later discovered that his business website contains clients that he has sold homes to and they are all white. Possibly a nod to the potential clients that he can be trusted. Contacted ERA to give a negative review and discovered there is no such category. ERA only will post 4 star reviews.
Awesome interaction with the team of Era Vijfhoek, the sale of my property was a breeze. Very professional, to the point, and hard working. Sale was concluded in less than a month.
You can write a review of an agent and they will accept it but later when you check on it..gone. They will not publish negative reviews no matter how ethically challenged your agent is...its just optics for ERA and their profit margin.
