While the test does detect pfas, it is actually 26.5% higher then the state’s pfas test on the same well. Therefore it may be alittle misleading in regards to the actual amount of contamination compared to a “normal” amount or state regulated amount some of the things it adds on the total are not on the other test therefore very hard to decifer in regards to validity. While it is a good tool for someone with limited financial ability to test to get a rough idea if there is contamination present I trust the other results from the state. Updated response: no one said it is inaccurate I said it is hard to determine the accuracy as both tests test for different things!
The kit was easy to follow, came ready to ship back (just drop off at UPS), and got my results within 5 days from when they received the sample. It has put our minds at ease knowing what is (or isn’t) in our water! The whole process does take a bit of time (probably a month or so) from the time you order to when you get your results, but that’s expected and wasn’t a surprise.
