I am giving the Citizens Advice only 1 star this time because I found out by talking to a phone advisor earlier this week that they have had incorrect information on their records about me saying I have a disability/other disabilities/complex disabilities which is very untrue. The only thing I do have wrong with me is a respiratory illness which can get better and is not permanent and I have still been productively occupied with it so it shouldn't be classed as a disability. Mentally there has been no diagnosis of disability from any health professional and I study and learn effectively every day. The phone advisor said to me that she would remove this incorrect checkbox tick of the disabilities but did she? Because when she phoned me back she was quite patronizing unfairly, repeating information unecessarily and that I am unemployed with a key worker,in other words she was reducing me to less than myself with her words.
Called the helpline many times to help with managed migration to Universal Credit. Each advisor said something different & clearly did not understand the rules properly so I was persistently misadvised. They each (6 advisors) got different figures in their calculations & I had no way of checking their calculations or making my own. The youngster yesterday was literally just making things up everytime she spoke & created so much more stress & hassle than if I had tackled it on my own. This helpline is an absolute joke
Used the option "Goods and Services." 20 minute wait, described the issue regarding Royal Mail incompetence and abdication of responsibility. Put on hold and found myself at the end of another long wait for Consumer Help. Why?
Absolutely rubbish. The person I had was rude and dismissive. She didn't know anything about UC Regulations and waffled on about nonsense. She caused me more stress than actually preparing for my Tribunal itself. They shouldn't be giving advice to people if they don't know anything and just guessing. It's disgusting 🫣
