I made several orders with the company for the festive period. The first order was for an Advent Calendar and a Christmas Box. Unfortunately the cheese for the box was out of stock. However instead of sending the Advent Calendar they refused saying we had to wait for the whole order. It eventually arrived in the second week of December - useless but the company would not accept this was unacceptable. Fast forward to a second delivery for 23 December which was to be a gift for someone, we were leaving to see them early on 24th. Parcel did not arrive. It arrived on 24th after we had left so the cheese was wasted. Again went to customer services - all they said was your cheese has been delivered sorry for any inconvenience . No attempt to recognise customer had wasted over £50 with them over two orders. Asked for this to be escalated and all you get is sorry but you did get your delivery Avoid this company they do not care if items are not delivered on time
Still waiting from 8th December for my delivery ,no support from customer service , wish I'd read reviews on Trust piolet will avoid in future Turn out bottles were smashed ,DPD informed company ,had plenty time to send replacement hamper but decided to ignore for over 3 weeks ,now waiting for refund

In November 2025, I placed an order for cheese. On December 18th, I received an email informing me that I hadn't provided a house name or number, even though I did supply the correct postal code. Given there are only five houses on the lane, this seemed odd. Now it's Christmas Eve, and after a long day at work, I'm disappointed that my beloved 80-year-old brother won't be getting his gift. My experience with The Chuckling Cheese Company has been frustrating, as they have been unreachable by phone. I strongly advise against purchasing from them; their customer service is poor, and they fail to deliver the products despite taking payment. This goes against consumer rights, and with plenty of other reliable cheese suppliers out there, it's best to spend your money elsewhere.
Late arrival and no apology. This was a Christmas present and due on 22nd December as recipients were going away on morning of 24th. I chased 3 times as I received notice of a delay on Friday 19th (no explanation). Delivered afternoon of 24th. I finally got an apology for their delay in responding to my complaint but absolutely no apology for the late delivery - I was just referred to their very small print stating delivery days weren’t guaranteed. No delivery charge refund as the package was so expensive it got free delivery!! Appalling customer service and attitude
