I have two sons enrolled at CHS. Both are studying for their iGCSE English Language and English Literature. If your child has a love of reading and a real aptitude for creative writing, then I highly commend Mrs J Howard as a superb teacher in these subjects. She is so passionate about teaching English. Her lessons are always engaging, supportive, creative, and tailored to the needs of the students in the class. The benefit of such small classes of six or eight students means that Mrs Howard has the ability to give extremely detailed, in depth and focused feedback on all aspects of key English skills, such as discussion, summarising, creative writing and directed writing. Her style of teaching has guided my two boys through honing their written skills with phenomenal results. My eldest has gone from being terrified at the prospect of the upcoming iGCSEs this year, to feeling comparatively calm and confident. Mrs Howard truly is an absolute asset to CHS and will nurture your child's love of the written language.

Our experience with Cambridge Home School Online has been excellent. The teachers are top notch and well educated. They deliver over and beyond what the national curriculum calls for. Moreover, the teachers are always available if you need extra help and make it a priority to ensure no child is left behind ie, (the child actually understands what is being taught) My children (Zac level 4 and Nina level 2) are extremely happy and this is our 3rd year attending the school. UPDATE: In the end this school did not work out. Firstly, they asked me to write a review, hence, I did. Secondly, my son who was meant to be doing his IGCSE’s had no help nor did I have any help with the registration. We registered him for IGCSE’s where you only receive a pass or fail. We were told by the school after registering for the exams every thing looked good. Needless to say it was not good we registered for the wrong exams and we lost the money. The school gave us no apology what so ever. Moreover, if your child does not turn in their homework and misses school online no one contacts you to let you know. The school grew to fast and they are trying to accommodate to many pupils online. Perhaps for salaries. In return, They have sacrificed quality (how good they were in the beginning.) They do not know what my two children were doing when online. A teacher from the school also offered my daughter help for the IGCSE and never helped whatsoever. We studied on our own and she received an A. We have since left the school from June 2024. As I was not going to pay more that 10,000£ per child for carelessness with their schooling. Particularly when it comes to IGCSE’s. My son is finishing his IGCSE’s this year. (Thank God he was 15 at the time and now only just turned 16) if not, he would be behind and trying to play catch up after paying £££. The online school is not free. All I can say is be cautious and double check everything as they will not do it for you. When we left the school there was no good bye nor any acknowledgment to my kids particularly to my son for the IGCSE mistake. Again, be cautious and ask questions. You should ask, do you ask the parents to write reviews? Did you have a raffle in the past two years to offer a free school year to whomever writes reviews. They then drew a name to see who won. You could only enter if you wrote a review. This is not a true reflection of a school, as one will write a review on their on accord if they believe the school is amazing. We have since moved on..

Some parents may hesitate about home schooling but it has been a transforming experience for my daughter that has enabled her to move from achieving very average to mediocre grades in a series of supposedly good traditional schools to A* performance with CHS. The school regenerates the pleasure of learning, motivating student, giving them the respectful attention they need & so often dearly lack in traditional school environments that are becoming more & more toxic. The French teacher is a gem, the Spanish & Art teachers extremely good with a extremely solution oriented Deputy Head who really has the best interest of students at heart. Highly recommend this option to parents whose children may have struggled in traditional schooling - your child is not the problem it is some of the schools we are sending them to that are & I could list many public schools but won't.

Cambridge Home School Online is an excellent school. The teachers are supportive, dedicated, kind and inspiring. They create a fantastic and fun learning environment for the children. The management and support staff are efficient, discreet and responsive, fostering a lovely community spirit and friendly atmosphere within the school. Pastoral support is outstanding and the children are encouraged to join in a wide range of extra-curricular activities at school and at home. Children thrive in this kind, positive and cosmopolitan community. Thank you!
