This review would have been one star had it not been for my latest conversation with Sheila in customer support. Having pursued my claim over the last 4 months sending emails, attachments, calling etc all to no avail and wholly inadequate support - only to receive requests to send things again, unable to find things, promises to do thing but to no avail. Eventually i spoke with Sheila, who took ownership of my claim and resolved it within 2 days and settlement received. 5 stars go to Sheila. Despite the hospital trying to get authorisation direct for payment with AXA - this was impossible. If you need to pay and reclaim ensure you get all receipts and if possible pay for them all on one credit card so that you have all the expenses tracked together on a credit card statement which shows the corresponding currency conversions for all the receipts you are claiming for. Good luck. AXA why not produce a simple infographic of how to submit a claim?

What a waste of money. Paid for travel insurance. Fell ill during a trip. Used their doctor, had a medical note from them not to fly. Rebooked our flights, tried to claim. And declined the claim. Use a different company if you want travel insurance.

So 6 months in and we are still being made to jump through hoops. A unpleasant mixture of incompetence and lies. The staff are well versed in both. They make a politician look like a novice. Genuine claim of my good lady fainting at the airport and not allowed to fly by the airline. She has no prior medical issues. Please don't choose these. I spoke to Samuel today who was shocked that this claim is from last year. AXA have requested a full PMH and Samuel couldn't understand why they didn't ask for this 6 months ago. He told me of a case of a youngster who had Chicken Pox and said incredibly they want a PMH. If they reply to this will some fabrications and apologies ignore it and remember this case is 6 months old and still going on. 😤

I paid £50 for ten days travel insurance, coming back to haryreid airport I lost my ring which I was waring, so I made a claim , for it to be declined , stating I wasn't insuring it responsibly. Rubbish company don't buy from these.
