33 days. That’s how long I’ve been without a working refrigerator after requesting service. Over a month of spoiled food, inconvenience, and excuses. Every single technician visit comes with a new reason why nothing gets fixed — parts delays, miscommunication, “system issues,” you name it. Somehow it’s never their fault, yet the problem never gets resolved. This has been an absolute nightmare. American Home Shield is hands-down the most incompetent and irresponsible service company I’ve ever dealt with. They take your money up front, then disappear when you actually need help. This company operates like a scam. They advertise “home protection,” but deliver endless delays, zero accountability, and complete indifference to the customer. Their process seems intentionally designed to wear you down until you give up. If you’re considering American Home Shield, do yourself a favor and run — this company is a waste of money, time, and patience.
American Home Shield plan was great but canceling it is almost impossible. First off I never submitted for renewal but AHS renewed anyway. Now after multiple online chats and phones call I'm still trying to cancel the renewed policy. To make matters worst, the renewed policy was increased by $27 monthly and I'm being charged for add-ons that AHS won't cover for my home. Buyer beware when attempting to cancel..
