All my appliances are AEG and they are all easy to use. My fridge is great and the fruit and veg last so much longer than my previous fridge My extractor is very effective and my baking is so much easier when using either my combi or main oven.
There is a possible issue with the 'automatic heat up' function on my brand new AEG induction hob cooker. After consultation with AEG’s service dept. a 'repair/inspection' was booked with an ‘approved’ service agent, who in turn subcontracted a visit from yet another service agent on Monday 17th Nov, who failed to turn up, or make any contact with me at all, leaving me hanging about for hours. After this experience, I also noted that this subcontractor had exclusively one star ‘bad’ ratings here on Trustpilot, with many reports of similar ‘let downs’ by others. When I contacted AEG regarding this total failure of the subcontractors to either show up or communicate with me, their only advice was to ring them and make a new appointment. I bought this cooker after reading AEG promises on their ‘Our Repair Services’ webpage, - that all repairs are carried out by ‘Approved technicians - experts specialised in AEG appliances’. AEG also claim to offer appointments, ‘at a time that suits you’. What happened to me was clearly ‘not as described’, as both the contractor and subcontractor, from their websites, are ‘jacks of all trades’ claiming to fix a wide range of electrical equipment, with a subcontractor who, from my own experience as well as from reviews, does not honour appointments or communicate with customers! In this case these AEG ‘approved technicians’ subcontractors fully lived up to their appalling one star reviews. Expecting me to make contact with them, after being treated so shoddily by them, is adding insult to injury, and I don’t feel that it would be sensible or wise to do so. From the reviews they would be just as likely to damage the cooker further as to make any ‘repairs’, even if they managed to show up! So now I am stuck, with no further options from AEG, other than take this ‘bad’ one star service or leave it. So if you are looking to buy an appliance with good customer support in case of problems, avoid AEG! I will try to get Trading Standards to look at this as well, as this appalling ‘service’ is clearly ‘not as described’, as well as being unacceptable!

Payment taken and then nothing. Chased after 2wks and they then gave me a link to book the delivery. Booked the delivery but nothing came! Avoid!!!!
Thinking of buying an AEG appliance think again. I purchased a large quantity of AEG appliances for our new kitchen late 2019 for delivery early 2020 this consisted of an SCE8181VNS integrated fridge freezer, a MBB1756DEM microwave, a HKB64NB540 gas hob, a L8FEC966CA washing machine and finally a T8DBG842R all amounted to a retail price of around £3500. The fridge freezer stopped working June 2023 booked AEG repair £169 all in price engineer who was a local sub contractor for them walked in the door through to the kitchen opened the fridge freezer doors said it needs re- gassing can’t do it and walked out all in less than 5 minutes if that. So spoke to AEG service centre who said they didn’t have an engineer in the north west who co re-gass it and no idea when it could be fixed as it was warm weather we had bought a small portable fridge freezer camping box from Halfords to keep us going until the repair done after waiting some time and no ideas when it would be fixed by AEG we bought a Beko frost free machine for around £300 bearing in mind that the AEG one only three years old cost £800 and could not be repaired ended up as scrap metal. After a lengthy battle with AEG service I did get my service fee refunded due to their inability to repair it. So moving on 30 months later the AEG tumble dryer decided to not heat up. I chose this machine as it is a heat pump model so better efficiency. My wife didn’t like to use it much because of the cost of electricity but it did get a very small amount of use now and again. So starting repair process again but didn’t want to use AEG after the last episode. Choose NAC repair agent who charged £100 to diagnose and fix problem all in and then just charge for the parts . Engineer came checked machine commented it’s the cleanest dryer he had ever worked on as he brings his own hoover just in case. I mentioned it had had so little use so was disappointed it had failed. Diagnosed a compressor failure and needed ( oh yes the famous re-gas’s after parts fitted.) over £400 for parts as was told uneconomical to repair. Yet again let down by a so called quality item. Retail price £579 . So I’ve bought you guessed it a 8Kg Beko condenser dryer at £249 . AEG one just about to go on drive for scrap man . The really sad thing about my experience is that I worked in the kitchen retail trade for well over 20 years selling this brand and stressing how good the quality was and why you should buy this rather than the cheaper brands, oh how wrong I was , so apologies to anyone I have sold this brand to and if you have had similar experiences with it. Moral of this story is probably by cheap product and discarded if it goes wrong which is not what we should be doing.
